Mr eko was one of my favorites, he was set to be in some major story, but he hated hawaii and couldn't come to terms financially and asked to be wrote out. I bet he regrets it now. He also diddnt show up at the end for the same reason. Completely wasted character, my guess is he finds redemption again, and then in the end saved them.
