Archaeology, Linguistics and Ancient nerd shit

RULES MOTHERFUCKERS
: Yes We Need Them!

1. I only ask that people be respectful of each other.
Difference of opinion is expected. However name calling, ad hominem
attacks and arguing for the sake of arguing is just some weak ass shit and
a reflection of lacking scholarship.

Lets LEARN instead of tearing each other down

2
. Reserving the right to add more rules when
you ninjas (myself included) get out of hand.

To kick shit off... watch this space. I got shit to do right now but will
be uploading full transliterations, translations and explanations of the
below reliefs.

I specialize in certain areas but I don't know jack shit
about a lot of languages and history of other areas of study...

So please peeps... Post up your areas of knowlegde and EDUCATE me/us/and all

Circumcisions

The people doing the surgery were high priests.

Although I'd be wary of anyone holding a knife to
my genitals during the bronze age calling themselves
an expert surgeon.

I'd be like "Nah bruh, I'm gonna wait till like the 21st century or so
before I let someone carve on my sack"

Thats just me though
Wouldn't be letting anyone carve my bits up when metzitzah b'peh has been going on for over 5 thousand years.

Can't really address that though.

Nefertari (The Beautiful One) Relief Breakdown

Here is the Translation...The "Transliteration" would be confusing
to most. When I get time I will break down the transliteration.

For those unfamiliar with linguistics there is a
huge difference between a "Transliteration" and
a "Translation".

Translation:

From the far right column reading down and then
over to the column left of it.. reading down again...

Column 1: Wsir (God of the Ancestors), The Great Lady and Wife of Wsir

Column 2: Lady of the Two lands (Upper and Lower Egypt), Nefertari,
Who is Beloved by the Mother of Ntr (Nature).

Column 3: MaakHeru, Speaker of Truth, Under Wsir

Column 4:
All Loved by "Mswt ntr" (Mother of Nature)

Notes:

1.
Her head dress she is wearing is "Mswt" (The Mother Ntr or Nature)

2. She is holding a "Skm stick" which represents "power"

3. The game board is NOT Chess. It is "Senet" and no one
knows fuck all why she is playing Senet here other then it was
an extremely popular game and symboloized rebirth

Got pinked for calling it by its English name. There's a few on here that will know about it.

That aside, the picture above, of Nefertari, when talking about Wsir, they mean Osiris?
Correct

Osiris would be his Greek name

Much like Isis vs Aset

and Horus vs Heru

The former is Greek and latter are the African names.

I'm not the best on Egyptian Gods though. I recently
signed up for a course covering all of them and their
various names etc.

I know just enough about Kemetic Gods to be really dangerous right
now so double check everything I posit about them

Thought so, I'm not up to speed on old names, or hieroglyphics. But I do find them immensely interesting.

Really just waiting on the transliteration lol. Helps with understanding overall message behind a blunt translation.

I could write out the transliteration fairly quickly

I may do it this weekend

Just didnt want to confuse the shit out of people.
There wouldn't be much in the way of vowels and the
letters would not match up to what makes "sense" to
people.

All these languages (and all other languages that have ever existed) have/had vowels:

Was Senet a precursor to chess? Do you think Trump would be good at Senet player like he is with 50D chess?
