im gonna stir the pot a little

I think for men it is not a choice I think for some women it can be a choice.

Haven't had luck with men in relationships? Perhaps you've been in one or many abusive relationships and no longer trust men? Maybe Lesbianism is right for you!

Am I a total idiot or am I making any kind of sense (the two are not mutually exclusive btw)

I think born that way.

I do think women are more willing to be with another woman to see how it is than men are to be with other men.

I had a Christian gay non-practicing friend. Swears he was born that way. We discussed it for many hours on end. A couple of things that I found interesting, one was that his first sexual experience (not sex, heavy making out) was with a girl. It turned out to be a horrible experience and she winded up loathing him. He had thought himself in love with her. Another was his dad was effeminate and never ever proud of him or loving to him.

He told me these stories on separate occasions through the years. However, he never mentioned either when discussing him being gay.
