Just curious, but interested... Do you think they are honest and are working in the interest of the American people? Do you think they are dishonest but are at least a better option than other politicians? Do you think they are full of shit and just doing what they can to gain as much wealth and power for themselves?

Where does everyone sit on this?

Honest answer, I don't trust anything that comes out of a politicians mouth. That is the great thing about Trump, he's not a politician. I think more has been done in the last 2 weeks for the American people than the last 4 years. I have some issues with a couple of things he is doing/cabinet choices but we don't have to agree on everything.

I understand that. But just wondering if you consider him and the people from his party to be honest people? Can you trust what they say to be based on facts and not strictly motivated by other means?

I have no idea what politico and BBC and reuters are feeding people outside the states.
Since Trump has lost half his wealth since becoming president And donates his presidential paycheck I would say it's probably f****** not that.

Gross... Is this what it's like to have a conversation these days? I honestly just asked a question, curious of the thoughts of people here. Are most people 100% behind him, is he viewed more as a lesser evil, or is he just another scumbag using politics for personal gain?

I don't even know what Politico is. What would you consider the a trustworthy news source? Is there one any more?

I do, except I know there's going to be false information that they have to put out there from time to time, to get leakers, moles, the media, etc to expose themselves. I fully trust Trump will do everything in his power to protect America, and improve the lives of American citizens.

Considering Politico got $8 million from USAID under the Biden Administration, I would say they're completely compromised and biased towards the left.

Not really, which is a sad state of affairs, isnt it? At this point, it's really a matter of having an account on X, following independent journalist accounts, and doing your own research while trying to use discernment.

Very sad. I went to school for Print Journalism and worked for a newspaper for a few years out of college but left because it was wildly obvious the direction that whole industry was going. Pretty disgusting to see what is considered to be "news" or "journalism" today.

Is X considered trustworthy? I don't have an account and always hated twitter except for when Norm Macdonald would tell long ass stories there through 1 sentence 'tweets' which were amazing. But wouldn't X have an incredible slant due to it being owned by Musk?

Also... what are your thoughts on Musk and his involvement in the government now?

Just asking questions man. I find all political parties pretty gross in their own ways. I would much prefer we dissolve these useless political parties and vote directly on issues on a weekly basis rather than voting for all these scumbags from both sides who pretend to care during their campaign but are really just there for money, fame, or power. Seems unnecessary.
