I mow it once a week. Then trim. Then sweep the walks. I'm not a loon about it, but I also don't want to live in a house that looks abandoned.

Same here...but with underground sprinklers and a once a month spray fertilizer. My lawn is the best on the block.

The secret is actually aerating the lawn with tines annually in addition to fertilizer water and reseeding.
