Aye indeed. I would have been on contract, but would have been better off as a subby. I might do that in the future if I need money really bad.
The guy on the phone for the interview thingy was like "your contract is for 40 hours a week, but we expect any overtime to be taken without question". So I asked, how much OT is normal? "Most guys are working a total of between 60 and 80 hours a week at the moment". I asked, how long do you anticipate that going on for? " We arent sure, until we achieve our goals. We expect the people in this job to be driven and self motivated". Lol. Murica. He answers phones for a living, dismissing an engineers 80 hour work week to be normal without a thought....
I then called my mate who confirmed this is true. I turned down the offer.
