Yeah, they won in the state of Thuringia. This is a symbolic victory because the city of Jena is a historical location of cultural revolution in Deutschland. Jena -> Leipzig -> Dresden -> the Fatherland follows. That was before WW2.
The AfD came in second place in Saxxony, which is the homestate of Leipzig and Dresden.
