Floyd probably wins a UD but Duran would sure as hell have brought the fight to him. At this point, I just wonder if anyone would be good enough to touch Floyd enough to beat him...he is just SO good defensively. Love him or hate him, call him boring...he is a master inside of that ring.

Duran was able to beat Leonard

I think at his absolute peak, Duran can beat anyone within a few weight classes up or down. Floyd would be a little bigger, but Duran would be tougher and more skilled than anyone Floyd ever fought.

Plus if they had to go 15 rounds like the era Duran came up in... might be a totally diff story

Mayweather is amazing though, but styles make fights. Duran has the style that everyone thought Pacquiao would be able to bring last night. Maybe not as fast, but no way would he stand in front of Floyd clueless

However, when he fought Leonard the 2nd time and Leonard employed a semi Floyd-esque strategy, Duran got so sick of the running he literally said "no more" and just quit in the middle of the ring. He wanted to fight, Leonard wanted to dance.

So it really depends on what Duran showed up. If it's Duran at his mental and physical peak, I think he has a better chance to beat Floyd than anyone Floyd has ever faced.

I'm no expert but i would bet on floyd winning that fight via Ud as he is very elusive......I think piedra would struggle to get to him

Which version of Duran are we talking about? Floyd would never agree to fight the Duran we saw in that first fight with Sugar Ray Leonard, and he would've been wary of the Duran who quit against Leonard in the rematch. I'm not even sure he'd roll the dice post the Benitez fight, where Duran looked like a shell of his former self. That's kind of the difference between the two eras of the sport. Even back then a lot of fighters were handled carefully upon first turning pro, especially if they were Olympic gold medalists, but once they reached the top of the rankings it was game on. Mayweather is nearly 40 and still handpicking his opponents. The Roberto Duran Mayweather would've agreed to fight is the post Tommy Hearns KO Duran, and only after Duran had agreed to a laundry list of demands from the TMT. Floyd is one of the all time greats to be sure, but he fought in a manner and in an era that will always be a notch down from the one Duran was a part of.

what I would do for a time machine..Tommy Hearns vs Floyd been sick too...Them times were murdrers row..PBF def deserves praise..just hard to determine how he would have some vs them Legends...Duran was knocking out cows as a kid that's fucking ridiculous lol..
