Every damn time I go away, I feel like I lose my recent gains due to inability to work out. My diet doesn't really go to shit, but it feels like I default to skinny. Anyone else experience this?

No but I have a genius solution: I workout on holiday.

If nothing else you can do bodyweight excercises.

I always try to find a hotel with a small excercise room or at least one with a gym nearby and just pay the visitors fee.

No excuse to not keep your gains.

Bodyweight doesn't really do it. I brought my TRX straps so that's thebare minimum. There's no gym around... i think the eating is a large part of it, and i tend to pickup a cold damn near every time i travel.

Lol, how long are your vacations?

Studies show that athletic men and women lose around 20% of muscle strength after 2 weeks of inactivity but do not visually see a difference. (It's more than 20% if your'e older than 30 or 40.) As long as you get in one workout every 2 weeks, you could maintain what you have.
