honest answer - most players are too stupid to even add their hands up properly, much less calculate odds based on what has been dealt on a 6 deck shoe. I add the cards up to move the game along, and add small talk to establish rapport with the players. Even if they dont tip, it makes the game run smoother, and for those wanting to take a shot at me, it shows dominance and that I am in control, and your shots will miss

let me add this...anyone can add their cards up for 30 to 45 minutes. Over time, over hours, everyone not used to the high noise level and intensity of the casino environment loses focus and makes bad calls. It isnt that most folks are stupid, its that they underestimate their ability to focus in the environment of a loud casino

you drive about 200 yards from my casino and probably find crack, or stay late and talk to folks who will rip you off and you might , maybe find some dope . my advice is...dont leave the property. When I di casino security we had a case, where a guy showed up with his wife, she went to bed and he came down to gamble. He won a bit, a chick offered to bang him for some some money, and he drove her in his car off property.

He got beaten and robbed, and dumped in the road. His car was found, but in the morning he had to explain to his wife why he got his ass kicked and all his credit and debit cards had to be cancelled

Never leave the property you are staying at.....

I'm just messin. I see drunk guys get sucked into a convo with the dealer and lose all train of thought and end up dropping 500 bucks in a few hands lol. If I get drunk enough, I just sit at the penny slots. I also tip at Blackjack tables. Not sure if there's an appropriate time to tip, so I just throw a $5 chip every few hands.

that puts you well ahead of most folks. Most of us dealers arent there to screw you, we are there to deal a game. However, it is easy to become jaded when so many people blame us for the iron laws of probability and how they express themselves on the tables

I'm shit at Blackjack and will only stay there for about an hour or so. My dad will spend 5-6 hours at a table. It's insane. All of the dealers know him by name lol. The casino is constantly giving us suites, free meals, free movies, etc because of the time he spends there. He usually wins though, so it's hard to get him to stop. He will leave if he goes down a few hundred. I wish I was balling like that lol

in my casino, we have folks that will play for 65 hours in a 72 hour period. That is not balling, that is called giving your money away. 5-6 hours is someone who might understand the game, enjoy it and know his limits. Not balling, but smart, at least from the perspective of a dealer

If I were to play at your table could I win all the money? I'd give you 30%.

if you play right, and the cards fall your way...why yes. Otherwise, I have nothing that I can do to help you or hurt you
Cutting the shoe at the back rather than the front would help me out. The closest casino to me is known for watching players win a few hands in a row, then cutting shoes incredibly short. They think anyone who wins must be counting cards.
