We went to the open workouts yesterday and it was a great experience. About 500 people jammed in a fairly small room at MGM with a little stage for the fighters to show off. Chad, Robbie, Rory and Conor all were slotted for 30 minutes each from 1:00-3:00. The first three would walk out, get on stage first and wave and crowd would react then they'd get into it. After about 15 minutes they'd towel off and go to the floor level for a brief interview then off they went.
Conor is last and the first thing he does is go right to the pumped fans at the far end and walk the length getting pics and hand shakes in no real hurry. Once he does this he hits the stage for some waving for more pics then he starts to stretch out. His work out was about 45 minutes and did everything from frog hops to striking to grappling and so on. Once that's done he does the expected interview with another quick finish prediction then back to the crowd. He must've spent another 20 minutes making sure as many people possible got pictures, posters signed, shirt signed making conversation and jokes and just basically killing it with crowd. Here's my wife....
This is one of three that I took and he was in no hurry. He told so many fans "ya ya of course I'll sign that!" with a big smile. One pretty girl asks him to sign her shirt and he goes on to ask "are you sure? It's quite a nice top I must say, looks great" lol.
For myself as a regular Conor fan going in I have to admit I'm a much bigger supporter now. Guy loves the fans and gives them all kinds of attention and time and that's all it takes. I was mainly looking forward to seeing Rory up there but him and the others all should've done the same thing as Conor. Hit up the crowd as much as possible, that's the only reason why you're there. If those guys took the last ten minutes they had and did pics and some signing it would go over so fucking good for there rep, it can't be hard to do right? I've sipped the Kool-Aid TMMAC, and its sweet, Conor is awesome in my books.
