i'm big on all kinds of food and live in Montreal full of diversity but Iranian food is not a thing here or anywhere I have travelled.

My wife and I. Befriended a couple. Who had immigrated from Iran. They introduced us to the Persian cuisine. A lot of lamb and chicken. Similar to other middle eastern countries. That sucks you don't have any around. Are there not a lot of middle eastern immigrants their?
Im sure we have, just not as popular as Lebanese, Greek, Japanese, Mexican or Italian cuisine.

My wife brought my two sons to Montreal today so my older boy can attend a semester working for UbiSoft. Went to dinner and upon returning to the car found the back passenger side window was broken into and my son's backpack with his Christmas new computer was stolen. His backpack also had his passport in it, but the thief took it out and left it on one of the car seats. Count your blessings I guess.
Anyway, I just thought you would want to know.
They absolutely do. I grew up with a few Iranian kids. Their parents left in the late 70's, fled to Switzerland, and then ended up in East Tennessee. Fesenjan is one of my favorite stews.
Montreal is a 3rd world shithole.
Basically all western countries have middle eastern food. It's all localized a bit.. And whatever middle eastern culture first immigrated there in decent numbers is what gets associated with that food.
So if all the middle Eastern food places are Lebanese where you are then when an Iranian opens a restaurant there they probably just call it Lebanese food. You might see 1 or 2 authentic max authentic restaurants in a large city for that cuisine but the rest are all localized.
