Would prefer the site policy was discussed where everyone can read it. This is supposed to be a "community" right?
If you want to discuss site policy, without naming names or airing dirty laundry, go for it. If you want to discuss the actions of someone specific, please PM me to discuss. We're a community but there's certain things that should be discussed in private as well.

I didn't name any names or air any dirty laundry.

So, is it cool to publicly discuss reports on threads?

As in what is the report button for? Sure. It's to report posts that break TOS - fighter bashing, name calling, racism, etc. Is a Kermit The Frog Meme that was intended to be a light hearted joke, against TOS? No. I read the thread, and others commented that they didn't interpret it that way either. The only one that seems offended by it, is you. Trust me, if I thought it was offensive, I would have deleted it...regardless of who posted it. You can't see the other posts that I've deleted in that thread, because they're only visible to staff...but there were some deleted, that I felt were unnecessary or against TOS. I think everyone here would agree that I'm a pretty laid back, fair person...and for the life of me, I can understand the hand wringing over this.

Some things are going to be hot topics...race, terrorism, religion, and politics. The Big Four. Me personally? I choose to simply stay out of discussions that involve this topics, because they lead nowhere fast, nothing gets accomplished, and someone always gets offended. Never fails. I don't even discuss those topics with family. My advice...be prepared to deal with some controversial things being said in discussions about those topics, or stay way from them.

If others didn't find it objectionable, I have no problem. But having a mod bring up my report in a separate thread seems like a breech of privacy to me.

Just wondered if management felt the same way.

my pov is reports are for serious things or things you want to correct in your post, which you don't have rights for. Not for things which a debatable in a thread itself.

I dont want to seem insensitive, so apologies if I came off that way. FYI - I've spoken to the Mod as well and reiterated what our expectations are here. Hopefully everyone can chalk this one up as one of those "shit that happens in a sensitive topic thread" things, and we get back to talking about hot chics, drugs, and MMA :)

Y @YammaYoMama - I do want to apologize for the actions of our staff after this went down. It's inappropriate, and not what we're about here. The last thing that we want is to give the impression that we are power hungry or whatever. Differences of opinions are fine, but as Mods & Admins, we are held to a higher standard and should be leading by example. So apologies from me and Splinty. We will work to correct issues like this moving forward.

I'm going to lock this up now, but feel free to hit me up in chat or PM. Thank you sir.
