I wonder how much of this is an act, while he and Trump work together behind the scenes. Or maybe he's dead serious, who knows.

Well, he's not wrong when it comes to Congress. They're a single party united in robbing the American people blind and bickering about bullshit to fool the people into thinking they're at odds.

I suspect there's something in that bill that cuts into Musk's business ventures, though. End of EV subsidies, maybe? Doesn't seem a big enough deal for him to pitching that much of a fit.

He could be genuine. Trump's got target fixation on what the bill is going to allow him to accomplish. He probably thinks this can help address the debt ceiling down the line, as opposed to Musk wanting extreme austerity measures out of the gate, which will inevitably doom the GOP come next election.

Musk is 100% right about this bill and I think Trump is being fucked by his own people, otherwise he wouldn't be championing this thing. Too much of it goes directly against Trump's supposed mandates.

Or Trump is a total fraud. Could be that.
People tend to see what they want to see in trump, rather than what he is. He says so many contradicting things that people hear things they like and rationalize what they don't like.

I'll admit I haven't looked into this bill deeply, except to know they are spending more than before despite us already pretty much in the debt grave. So what is Trump touting that's good about it besides making the tax rates permanent?

It's hard to tell, both sides are just throwing out numbers on what is good or bad.

Same as always. Government is a cancer on society that serves only to extract wealth from the population, only to piss it all away funding bullshit outside the nations borders. Of course the politicians continue to usher this shit through, to ensure they get their points on the deal.

When an amendment was added in the Senate to stop Medicaid/Medicare/SSI payments to migrants who have never paid into the system, they actually got a majority. Unfortunately that majority voted to keep paying people who should have never had access to that funding in the first place.
