I don't ever remember being good.
Outside of his first 5 or 6 years with Boston, Babe Ruth did very little pitching. I think maybe 5 or 6 appearances in like 15 or 16 years. He was only a legit 2 way guy for 3 or 4 years with Boston.
Not that he wasn't good enough to do what Ohtani is doing, but the Yankees were more interested in his bat. After he hit 50+ in his first year (when the rest of the league leaders were lucky to get to 20) I think they were fine with their decision.
Wiki has him at 94-46 with a 2.28 ERA. I haven't bothered to look into where those starts took place so don't bother asking.

I'm a Jays fan, but admittedly haven't been paying a ton of attention to baseball the last couple of covid seasons, yet I was watching a program about this last night and I can't believe I was oblivious to what Ohtani has been doing this season. Aside from Junior Guererro and the young Jays, this is enough to pull a guy back into the sport.
I used to find baseball extremely boring. Then they built pac bell park in SF. I had multiple work hooks up and also knew how to buy scalped tickets cheap. Could get there in 15-20 minutes from my apartment
Probably went to 200+ games in the 00s when bonds was smashing records.
After that I could tolerate it on tv

also, what other languages does cuntboy speak? learning a different language is not easy, yet there are so many people that make fun of foreign athletes messing up a word or 2 when they can speak english well to convey sarcasm, laughter and overall control of a room. that is not easy to do.

Shohei Ohtani is not only versatile as a baseball player, he is also bilingual and able to communicate with teammates in different languages. The veteran shared with the Angels' broadcast that the 23-year-old rookie is actually more fluent and familiar with Spanish than he is English
if he needs a translator it is due to him not understanding and answering questions quick enough on the spot.............which is quite understandable.

1919 he hit 29hrs and pitched in 17 games.
Prior to that his highest HR total was 11.
What years as a pitcher did he have more home runs than teams?
