i don’t know you and I don’t your story but I will say this.
I’ve got two friends with serious mental health issues. Let’s call them Antony and Chris. Because that’s their names.
Both had been sectioned a few times. Antony’s demons were drink. Plus the mental health issue. But without the peeve he could operate. The drugs that stopped him drinking.....well helped stop him drinking, it was still hard...along with anti depressants made him slow and sluggish. But without them he lost his wife and access to his kids. He nearly lost his job too but the employers were incredibly understanding. This all started on Christmas Day about 9 years ago. Lond story short after many episodes of giving up the drugs always ended up the same place. Maybe a notch lower. Eventually the penny dropped. He takes his meds and operates on a level mentally that he used to be. The drink has affected him physically and he needs a walking stick, but he gets to see his kids and lives a perfectly normal life.
Chris had the same demons but he also liked the bang bang dust too. He had been sectioned but never took the meds. Long story short he died on the streets of Manchester this year at 56.
You know what’s best for you but if the drugs are working....
