I have faith in Gunn. DC was smart to put him in charge, I think.

Superman is probably my favorite superhero. This looks.....meh. Wish they would have let Zach Snyder do Justice League part 2 and have the showdown with Darkseid.

I thought Krypto was an AmStaff.
Yeah, the way he was traditionally drawn in the comics that’s definitely what he looked like. I think even that Superpets animated thing from a few years ago possibly depicted him as pibble-type dog, though kind of small.

Snyder is a fucking hack and needs to go away & never come back.

His JL2 proposed script was *beyond* retarded...which is saying a lot for him.

Snyder got lucky with a couple films, but everything else he touches is a pile of ass - crazy visuals, grandiose spectacle, a fucktarded story (typically with characters that don't resemlbe the originals), the most horrid versions of popular songs you can find, and enough slow-mo to actually reverse aging.

Crazy thing is people (including myself) absolutely loved 300. I caught part of it again a few months ago, and it's the same Snyder formula he uses in EVERY movie - we just didn't realize it at the time.

Same.

This Superman looks even worse than expected (& that says a lot). DCU is done.

We will probably see this sometime over the weekend. I have some misgivings about it, as stated somewhere above, but I’m also almost obligated to see it because in some respects it’s the version of Superman I’ve always wanted to see on film but which only existed in Max Fleisher’s cartoon version of the 1940s, harkening back to the original comics concept of the character as having some vulnerabilities not tied to exposure to Kryptonite.
Wife wants to see it because Nathan Fillion is in it and Allen Tudyk voices one of the robots. And the dog, even though it’s purely CGI.
