It's going to either be mentally distraught JBJ looking sluggish and off..... Or murderer of humanity JBJ committing a capital felony that we're all watching live...... I'm picking the latter

I bet he still fights. This isn't a comparable situation in terms of importance of the event, but I lost my mom suddenly when I was 17 and I played in a high school baseball game the very next day. I had to. The difference is that Jones has to mourn his mom while trying to stay in shape, but in times like these you just want to be doing what you love, surrounded by friends and/or family, at least that was my experience.
