The rivalry between Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier may have peaked. For years, both men have traded insults in interviews and on social media, taunting face-to-face at weigh-ins, staredowns, and even inside the Octagon.

The two light heavyweights will now headline UFC 200, and Jones is all but burnt-out with the trash talk.

"It's just a fight for me at this point, to be honest," Jones told MMAjunkie. "Obviously I don't want to lose to anybody, and I've got a lot on the line. But as far as the genuine hatred and things like that, you know, it's not as powerful as it was before.

"I'm still motivated, and I'm excited to stick a foot in DC's ass, but the hatred and all the extra is not really there for me."

If he shows up like he did vs OSP, he'll lose the belt for real this time and it will all come rushing back

No doubt he would have lost to DC that night. He better be getting after it in camp.

Not sure about that. Had he fought DC that night, everything about his mindset changes. Jones performs very well when the danger is amplified. I think we would have seen the old Jon if he met DC that night. Jackson-Wink fighters fight safe in general, and Jones was fighting the 6th guy in the world on short notice. He also took 3 50-45's if I remember correctly. I think there's a good chance that he is just as dangerous as he ever was.

I'm just talking performance and all things being equal. That performance against DC is a losing one IMO. Now, I will agree that he likely fights much differently against DC. Can't wait to see how it plays out.

I bet the presser and weigh ins are heated. This hatred isn't over by any means.

I fought Jones vs DC on the UFC game yesterday with my buddy and all we could talk about the whole time we were playing is how fucking excited we are to see these two guys go at it again.

It's the fight I'm looking forward to the most this year. I just love the rivalry.

I would love to see him pull it off though man. It would shake the MMA world up for a while. It would intensify this rivalry even more. And it would probably put these two headlining MSG for the trilogy fight.

it is the beginning of the end.... that's the way i see it, jones was out of the game so long maybe he isn't fully back, and may never be..

i could be wrong but it wouldn't surprise me to see him defend his belt a couple more times at most and then retire. i don't expect him to go to HW.
