Josh Barnett, Roy Nelson to meet in UFC Japan main event, coach against each other on reality show - MMA Fighting

"The Warmaster" will face Roy Nelsonin the main event of UFC Fight Night Japan on Sept. 27 at Saitama Super Arena, the UFC announced Wednesday night. Barnett has had 12 of his career MMA fights in Japan and also has extensive experience in Japanese pro wrestling.

Love this fight and for it to go down in Japan is fucking awesome.

Not only will Barnett and Nelson be throwing down, they will also be coaching against each other in an Ultimate Fighter-like reality show called Road to the UFC: Japan that will air on Japanese television. The series will feature eight Japanese prospects competing against one another for a UFC contract. They will train both in their regular gyms and The Ultimate Fighter gym in Las Vegas. The finalists will meet at UFC Fight Night Japan in Saitama.

I say it all the time, once these shows are put together like a mini doc based on fighting I'll be sure to not miss an episode.

Wow, very interesting choice. Great fight idea as they're fairly even on the feet and ground with slightly more versatility to Barnett.

What really interests me is how both these guys have had a really complicated relationship with Dana, but have very interesting personalities. Could be worth watching.

Ive been over tuf for years.its always bullshit and lame drama for 45 min per episode then a fight. Then recap and cocktease of something big about to happen next episode.except it never happens.they milk it for weeks before it happens and by then nobody cares
