I can't listen right now but what's the back story with JWP?
Good stuff. JB pulls no punches in his opinions that's for damn sure. Very interesting what he had to say about JWP and Hector.
A little insight please?
Josh said the story JWP told of them sparring was a complete lie. Josh said he knew exactly who JWP was and they sparred 6, 7 or 8 times and it never went the way JWP said on JRE. He said Eric Paulson would never just put an unknown in with him to spar before a fight and he never got the best of him where he threw his gloves and shin guards out of frustration like JWP said. He also said they never went close to 100% because of the size difference.
As far as Hector, Josh said Hector doesn't really know how great he is or could be because he's a headcase. JB said he once showed up late to practice when Hector first came to CSW, up to that point Hector was fitting in great and sparred egually, like everyone else. Josh didn't have time to wrap his hands because he was late and just threw on some gloves and paired up with Hector as he didn't have a partner for drilling kickboxing. They start off easy tap, tap, and then out of nowhere Hector throws a right hand bomb as hard as he can and bloodies Josh's nose. They proceed to kickbox 100% for 20 mins. till Paulson says enough. Josh said from that point Hector would routinely take liberties with anyone he could and everyone knew exactly what they were in for when they practiced with Hector.
Josh said the story about him taking Hector down and beating him within an inch of his life is not true. Josh said that they were just drilling and was on top of Hector peppering him but not trying to hurt him by any means and Hector out of the blue just pleaded to stop. Josh said it was weird because he routinely beat on everyone else and when he was on the receiving end, he decided he didn't like it too much. Said he had no problem with Hector ever and doesn't understand why HL keeps bringing his name up.
