Bellator will return to Oklahoma in July, and the women’s featherweight title will be on the line.

Champion Julia Budd (12-2 MMA, 6-0) BMMA) will defend her belt against challenger Olga Rubin (6-0 MMA, 4-0 BMMA) on July 12, the promotion today announced during Bellator 218, which took place at WinStar World Casino & Resort in Thackerville, Okla.

The Budd-Rubin title fight will be at the same venue with a main card on Paramount and DAZN following prelims on Bellator.com

Well it's about time.
Julia isn't getting any younger; she will have turned 36 a week before.
Yep, that's right!
This All-American Canadian was Born On The Fourth Of July!

Once again she'll be in Thackerville Oklahoma, her third straight title defense at Winstar resort casino after winning the title their against Marlos Coenan.

So either Bellator is building champion cities, or they're feeding Julia's gambling addiction and tornado-chasing thrill-seeker mentality.

A lotta people don't know that although Gina Carano's star rose in part because of her transition from a successful Muay Thai career to MMA goddess, she took a kickboxing loss to Julia Budd.

I was lucky enough to catch her early rise when she defeated Germaine de Randamie, the UFC's first inaugural Featherweight champion years ago.
