as I understand it, Trayvon ran from George, then re-engaged once George had lost him.
Zimmerman claims that Trayvon punched him first, and since he's the only witness, there's nothing to disprove his version of events.
Trayvon definitely did not take the most direct route home from his first encounter with George, and I think that's the evidence of aggression that kept George out of prison.
but to the OPs post, I wonder why this wasn't discovered during the trial - and what proof they can bring forward this long after the event.
So Trayvon was not the original aggressor. I think most people would agree that if someone follows you in there car then gets out to confront you...they are the aggressor.
Trayvon died because Zimmerman wouldn't leave him alone and escalated the whole situation.

Obviously there are extenuating circumstances like you find him in your porn dungeon and he is blatantly using your boyfriends Chinese love eggs without permission etc.

no, Trayvon died because after he had escaped from George's pestering he decided to re-engage with an obviously unstable person.
if that unarmed man broke your nose and is bouncing your head off the concrete, his status as 'unarmed' doesn't mean he hasn't shown capability and willingness to use unlawful lethal force on you.

Trayvon was the one bouncing George's head off the concrete when he got shot.Zimmerman was the armed adult in the situation.
you don't bring a weapon to bear until you need to use it.
George didn't need to use it until Trayvon was inflicting life-threatening injury.

that was not the situation when Trayvon was shot.
Trayvon was sitting on George's chest, punching him in the face and slamming the back of his head in to the concrete.
A reasonable person would fear for their life in that situation, and there was nothing preventing Trayvon from running away if he genuinely feared for his life prior to that moment.
he probably could have beat charges for punching George, if he had stopped there. But he wanted to beat someone up, and that means that person is legally justified in shooting you.
It was a politically-motivated prosecution, but George made himself an easy target for that prosecution by his words and actions after the event.
