Generally when things go haywire between fighters outside of the cage, it is the manager’s responsibility to try and reign his fighter in. But in the case of the explosive encounter between Kamaru Usman and Colby Covington in a buffet line at a casino, it was Usman trying to keep his manager from getting out of control.

Usman defeated Tyron Woodley in the UFC 235 co-main event to take control of the UFC welterweight championship, setting up a future bout with Covington.

The incident following the fight at The Palms in Las Vegas stemmed from not only a history of barbs between the fighters, but Covington’s week-long needling of Usman in the lead-up to UFC 235. Covington harassed Usman at every turn, making a particularly noisy display during Usman’s open workout.

There is no lack of wanting to hold Covington to task, but Usman wants to do it the proper way, in the Octagon.

When he and his manager, Ali Abdelaziz, spotted Covington in the buffet line at The Palms after the fight, Abdelaziz was ready to pounce and got into a physical encounter with Covington despite Usman’s best efforts to restrain him.

Ali is a loose cannon. This is not a good look for the sport.
I sometimes think a certain occurrence isn't a 'good look for the sport'. Then when I'm done saying 'well, I never!' and retrieving my monocle out of my champagne glass, I realize that this sport literally involves people fighting in cages for scraps. Many (no, not all, calm down ladies) of the fighters are exactly the type of trash that you would expect to do such a thing and ALL of the managers are exactly like the type of bottom feeding scum that you would expect to be trying to exploit said trash for a few bucks.

And most of us hardcore fans are exactly the types of degenerate losers that you would expect to follow such a sport.

So let's all accept that people who have got themselves involved in terrorist plots will eventually become managers and then try to fight their own fighter's opponents rather than do their job. Ees normal.

Ali should be banned, if not for the altercation, then at least for the rolled up sweatpants

Holy fuck I didn't know this was a new vid. Fuck Ali is a POS. Funny how Ali and Shish Khabib both can't control their emotions for some strange reason. I wonder...

Ali is vile terrorist scum...
not even a real snitch. Just a guy who got caught being a POS who decided to entrap some local Arab dudes to get out of trouble.
but he could even do that right, and the NYPD/FBI tried to deport him

he's hollow and fragile, proof that you don't need a spine to walk upright.
