First match is Craig Jones vs. Nick Calvanese. The announcers expect Craig Jones to leglock everyone. LOL

Jones said he's only going after submissions in every match. I think Nick stated he's only been training 6 years... interesting.

Half way through and Jones working from bottom the whole time, almost had a solid kimura grip. Now locking up a triangle and Nick taps. Damn, that was quick.

Mike Perez vs. Dante Leon

Damn, Dante is only 22 years old. Tons of brown belt accolades for him. This should be good.

Dante working the DLR guard, great leg entry and came up on top but got caught with the heel hook. Very well played by Perez.

Felipe Mota vs. Pierre Olivier LeClerc

Mota really controlling this match, just passed guard and putting immense side control pressure on him.

Pierre escapes and we're back to standing, then he pulls guard. Mota pulls off an awesome sweep to mount, very nice. Mota wins 9-0.

Matheus Diniz vs. Richie Martinez

This should be fun. Richie pulls guard and Diniz jumps over the knees to finish the pass. Now it's pressure time.

Diniz is pressing hard, knee on belly, then quickly to mount. Diniz working mount and shooting for the head/arm sub. Diniz working north south, looking for safe subs, but ends up winning 7-0.

Round 2 starting now. Calvanese vs. Perez

My money is on Perez, he looked really good in Rd. 1. Perez up 2-0 with 2 sub attempts with 3 minutes left. Tied at 2 and Calvanese is really pushing the pace. Perez has slowed quite a bit and now gets taken down. 4-2, Calvenese wins.

Craig Jones vs. Donte Leone

If Jones wins by submission here, he'll be tough to beat out in his 4 man bracket, so likely will be in the finals.

Jones length on Donte is significant. Jones almost lands a heel hook already after pulling guard. Playing butt guard and looking for the arm drag entry. Alot of leg scrambles here, as expected. Seems like just a matter of time until Jones get's what he needs.

Jones with a huge throw on Donte. Definitely will be video of this. Jones up 2-0 and it ends that way.

Diniz up 2-0 in a tough match and he hangs on for the win. He's been looking really dominate tonight.

Pierre Olivier LeClerc vs. Richie Martinez

Pierre pulls guard first.Several scrambles for leg entry. Richie ends up in great wrist grip on top and looking for a guillotine, very close to to a pass. Back into half guard. No score yet.

0-0 draw.

Time for the super fights. 10 minutes, submission only. 5 minute overtime, then judges decision.

First one up is AJ Agazarm vs. Marcos Galvao

This looks to be good. Both guys talking shit in their prematch interviews. AJ's goal is to submit him in under 5 minutes. LOL

AJ attacking single legs then sits to closed guard. Damn AJ is looking good on the bottom, attacking heel hook attempts. AJ gets a deep heel hook and somehow Galvao gets out of it. Wow.

Galvao is getting noticeably tired from playing defense for 7 minutes. AJ still attacking the legs from guard. And... he gets the heel hook. AJ wins.

Quick pace here as Donte pulls guard, and arm drags himself (I think) to the back, eventually getting the RNC. Quick match.

Craig Jones vs. Mike Perez

Perez looked a little gassed in his 2nd round. If he beats Jones by submission, then he'll win his bracket.

Perez pulls guard, scramble, then Jones ends up pulling guard. Both attacking legs, of course. Perez up 3-0 with takedown and sub attempt I think.

Jones with a toe hold attempt and scores 1. Jones scores another point due to Perez stalling, but Perez hangs on for the 3-2 win.

Really disappointing strategy for Jones, but seems most sub only guys struggle in the point game.

As expected Mota takes down Richie. Rubber guard in full effect. Richie almost lands the arm bar, definitely close. 2-1 Mota.

Holy shit the Gogoplata sequence was amazing, ends up arm baring Mota. Mota's arm has to be fucked.

This looks like an open weight match. Diniz with the 2 point bully shove takedown, passes and works side control, with heavy pressure.

Pierre playing open guard, butterfly now. Diniz up big 8-0 after another pass now looking for a sub. Just stopped he match because they thought Pierre was out so they stopped the match. Pierre was fine, so they restart with Diniz up 9-0.

Diniz wins by japanese necktie it appears. I'm calling it now, Diniz will win the final too.

15 minute time limit, sub only. Tie means referee decision.

So crazy Nicky is a 16 year old purple belt.

Nicky pulling guard and they are both looking for leg attacks.Really fast paced and extremely technical match, no surprise there. Nicky on top now playing Geo's open guard.

This match is really close. I'd love to see them in a no time limit match. 3 minutes left and it's anyone's match to win.

Holy shit, with 30 seconds left Nicky locks up a triangle and ends the match with the sub attempt. Looks to be enough to secure a decision win.

Nicky wins a unanimous judges decision. Great match.
