It looks like the UFC is cutting a swath through their featherweight division with the release of 3 145 lb fighters and Pancrase star Rin Nakai.

Rough time to be a UFC featherweight, it appears. The UFC roster is going through a bit of a contraction phase. Lots of talent going out, not much going in. And the latest fighters that appear to be on their way out come from the sub-155 divisions as three featherweights and a women's bantamweight have all apparently been given the chop.

UFCFIGHTERSINFO posted the removal of two names from the UFC's online roster last week, Julian Erosa and Mark Eddiva.

Joining Eddiva and Erosa are Katsunori Kikuno…

Not surprised Rin never belonged in the UFC, she should cut the mass and go to 125 or go the Jessica Andrade route. It is possible to shed muscle and make a lower division and be more competitive.

Rin at 125 at Invicta would be somewhat interesting.

Wow 3 out of 4 Asian fighters (Eddiva is Filipino).

Do you guys think this could mean that UFC won't be making an aggressive push into Asia and is happy to just host the odd Fight Night in Macau and Manila??

Could make sense given the relatively high number of mid-tier orgs there (Road FC, ONE, Rizin, Deep)

Sorry to hear about Nakai.

If I was into dominatrix's, like the guy from Billions, she'd be it for me.

Fairly astute observation. That very well could be the case.

Seems like it is focusing more on L.A and New york. The coming show at the inglewood forum is going to be huge and N.Y is probably going to break records.

True! That combined with having an Irish soap star who's pretty good at fighting pretty much means they prolly dont care about Asia as much as they did.
