i believe he owned it. Reports are that he has been traveling by copter for years. Even going back to his playing days. Terrible news. I can’t stop watching and reading shit about it.
He lived in Newport Coast and he'd fly by helicopter to every home game just to bypass OC and LA traffic. No idea whether he owned a helicopter, was on a shared ownership plan, or just paid for "x" amount of hours during a specific time of year (ie. Anba season). The helicopter in the crash was owned by a company based out of John Wayne Airport in Irvine, so I'm guessing it was chartered.

I only just found out about Cobain too.
