General Koi ponds- anyone got one? Need info.

Bought a house with a koi pond 12’ x12’ and about 4’ deep. Never had one before. Do I need to run the pump 24 hours a day? It has a filter, pump and waterfall(that acts as a secong filter?) How much do i feed these bastards?

already fish in your pond? How big? How many?

If so then I hope somebody gave you instructions/directions, I know a bit about ponds, but I would get some eyes on the ground from somebody local that know their shit.

“Supposedly” 20 fish but some were eatten by local critters. They left a laminated sheet about the pump. Not much else though.

don't over feed...that just messes up the pond as you know

how does the water look?

Murky but I just started the pump today. Just feels weird running it 24 hours a day until winter.

might not be that much energy or cost...congrats on the Pond
I would love that

Used to have a house with a Pond and Water feature...lotta fun to play around with.
You can divert and manipulate the waterfall or whatever so the water makes different sounds for your backyard
