Former UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar has seen a bit of everything in his athletic career.

From winning an NCAA heavyweight wrestling title, to a brief stint in the NFL, to professional wrestling and becoming one of the biggest draws in MMA. Reacting to comments made by Ronda Rousey admitting to suicidal thoughts following her loss to Holly Holm at UFC 193, Lesnar looked back to amateur wrestling to help encourage the former champion.

"I'm a big fan of Ronda's and have been since the beginning," Lesnar told ESPN Tuesday evening. "I think one thing that I learned, and that she should have learned a long time ago, is that you have to learn how to lose before you can actually win. That was one thing that my coach taught me at a very young age because I was a bad loser. You've got to be able to get back on the horse.

"This life is very precious and very short and one fight isn't going to make or break her career. She's just got to get back on the horse again and figure it out and she will."

Brock was def a good loser in the UFC except for the Mir fight. Every other loss he took and that was it. Listen losing to Holm is a shit ton better then losing to Miesha in terms of their legit hate. If she lost to Miesha she literally might have done something stupid.

What's funny is back in the day on the other site I started a thread that said what will ronda do when she loses and I said I bet she will snap and kill herself and of course I was joking but their was a reason I said that and to hear her say that, I was pretty much spot on.

I always thought Brock was overrated cuz I keep forgetting about his NCAA acomplishments. Dude did work his ass off. He's pretty humble except for Mir IDK y. He absolutely had zero respect for Mir compare him talkin about other opponents.

He is spot on. Ronda has never been able to be a good winner. Lesnar was mostly respectful in loss, with that exception. Mir did talk major (and funny) shit though. Must've gotten under his skin.

Right after the first mir fight, lesnar was really respectful in his loss. He acted like an asshole at ufc 100 cause Mir was talking shit 24/7. Lesnar said he was mad cause he lost the first fight but there's no way he would have acted like that if mir didnt talk shit lol

respect for never asking for an easy fight. just wish he would have used a good striking coach. even if he just off seasoned at dukes.

I don't think Brock was a good loser/winner really but he's right. One loss won't make or break you.

I remember Lesnar being pissy after the first Mir fight but his anger was more directed towards Mazagatti for the BS restart.

Mir said he wanted to kill him iirc. My guess is Brock took that shit personally.

Who is the thoughtful sensitive guy whose words are being attributed to Brock? ;)

Very impressive and commendable message from the big bastard!

If you've ever heard an interview with Brock you'd realize he isn't at all the meathead that his appearance suggests he should be. This doesn't surprise me in the least.

He's a smart dude. You don't become heavyweight champ unless you have some intelligence
