More like Gokan Saki style with Tyson tendencies, tons of head movement with punch heavy attacks and low/mid kicks! Once this KB match is done going start training everything and blend it all, just getting him ready for a strictly stand up fight changed how I'd traditionally train my guys but at least I'm teaching him the Intricacies that are used to disguise the entries on his takedowns and come time to start the sub grappling, and what goes into getting a real fight to the ground, he'll be efficient with his stand up and have the mechanics of how to move correctly on His feet and fakes, Feints and level changes and Punching Combinations/low kicks to set up his TDs and then his TDs to set up his striking.
First thing I had to learn was footwork, then they chucked me and my cousin in the ring against a dude who had a fight coming up. So he could work on his footwork while a blitz of 4 arms tried to get him.it was just goofy fun, the coach wasn't quite sure what to do, he coached men not children, I'm very envious, I wish I'd have actually trained instead of just mucking about here and there. There's a lad at work looking to go pro, super nice and unassuming, he's had 3 ammys now, he's at the local Gracie Barra. I don't like them places, once I'm healed up the falcon pro light is busting back out and going to alliance!More like Gokan Saki style with Tyson tendencies, tons of head movement with punch heavy attacks and low/mid kicks! You know Rob Kahn by chance? Ran Gracie Barra Tampa, one the first guys to get his BJJ black under Royce! Just dont go fishing with the guy. He's not an angler.Thank you for the warm welcome Coach ?
Nope, the only Gracie place I went was in Ventura, Fabio Leopoldo , I think he's since split ties. Gracie jiu-jitsu isn't for me.You know Rob Kahn by chance? Ran Gracie Barra Tampa, one the first guys to get his BJJ black under Royce! Great dude and a fkn ? on the mat.
Being a pussy doesn't matter.Welcome and good luck in your fight. I was gonna be a pro fighter too. I think i could’ve had a great career and went pretty far, maybe even champ. There was just that one problem... I’m a giant pussy.
My legs felt those kicks ? nice work there @KILLA K5th session this week, and heading into the last month stretch before his fight, we are working on the fundamental movement and mechanics that go into being a sufficient striker.. he's coming along nicely for only having hardly 2 months with me... He comes to every session, eager and every film study AKA live events where we get into the real intricacies with not only the technically aspect, but from a very in depth with what he's into the psychological side, the fight IQ developed through situational awareness to execute what needs to be done in any scenario within a fight not also what it takes cardio wise and how tough it'll be to get him into his peak condition without maximum effort, doing things at home everyday to ensure he's better than the day before even if it's a smidge it's Improvement...
He always takes my advice on doing his research and homework on combat sports history and the vast array of combat sport athletes he needs to watch YouTube videos on, just to know what greatness looks like, that way he emulate, add his flavor to it and strive to be the best human being Keith can be! Make sure I really talk to him about mindset and routine that makes a champion tick and be at his best.. lend my past failures as a lesson to him he can prevent and learn from, without having to suffer the same self inflicted bs! He didn't have any alcohol or smoking vices and has a flexible job that give him 3 days off like mine.. We talk about the business side with self promotion, he's already gotten himself a tattoo parlor sponsorship and other prospects which made me proud knowing he went out and took advice and initiative to network and get him a lil extra change in his pocket..
If a kid will work hard as they can, the rest will take of itself, maybe @Splinty and @Wild will wanna be his fight gear shirt/hat to walk out as his clothing sponsor with his other sponsors on the Tee like old times sake when fighters could actually try and make money off sponsors.. I'll post the video, have him shout out TMMAC on his Facebook and be the exception to the slop fest that most low level shows have and will look solid abd build his confidence with a good performance!!!
Here's a Lil Sunday working on combination code work, giving my elbows and shoulders a lil break after holding Thai pads for 8 guys last few months and what's more hillbilly Rocky sequel training that using the pussy 10 pound resistance bands to tie the heavy bag to a tree to enjoy the fresh outdoors and utilize the yard..
MAN MAKER ACADEMY is in full swing and with a 20x20' garage, mat, pull up bar, resistance bands with my 50/ 100 pound bands, a pool, jump rope, focus and Thai pads, footwork ladder and all the wisdom and technical advice to help the young men!

I am down to help sponsor him, for sure. How about I put in $100, @Splinty matches, and maybe some of the members could chip in as well. Try to get it to $400-$500. We can also send him a shirt and hat, if @KILLA K would like. No idea what is appropriate in terms of sponsor money, but let us know and we'll try to make it happen.5th session this week, and heading into the last month stretch before his fight, we are working on the fundamental movement and mechanics that go into being a sufficient striker.. he's coming along nicely for only having hardly 2 months with me... He def is find great using his punching mechanics to chain strike, chambering his next strike up staying in ideal position to effectively open his hips up and cut across the body/legs with his kicks all while maintaining good balance back in his stance ready to move and attack again with his gas tank improving tremendously..My legs felt those kicks ? nice work there @KILLA K
