I have autoembed turned on for some testing, so I'm posting these links broken so they don't embed:

GFYCAT.com offers several versions of the exact same file.

THE BEST is the:

The back up HUGE files are these:

http://fat.gfycat.com/ ColossalHideousLabradorretriever.webm

See the GIANT and FAT at the beginning? That lets you know these are SLOW and HUGE files that are LOWER QUALITY.

They are there for older devices, devices that don't support modern web standards, etc. Lots of times, someone on their phone on reddit or otherwise will post those backup versions, then they get shared around.

What can you do to help out?

If you get a link from another site that has FAT or GIANT on it, cut that part out and cut off the file extension at the end (lose the GIF or WEBM). You'll be back to the original proper file that STILL has those other ones secretly hidden behind the scenes for a backup.

I'll throw this in the mix as well. In fight threads, please try to keep GIFS relevant to the event. I say that because Tiides @Tiides posted a bunch of ass GIFS last night (not that anyone doesn't love hot asses), and it really slowed the thread down. Especially posting them right after one another, in a short amount of time. Posting something like that randomly in the thread is fine, but posting a bunch of them at one time bogs things down.

Thank you gents.
