What's a cross walk?

Is that like when you pumped a ton in the fruity and you walk home angry?
It's the term used by North Americans for the designated area where one walks across a road. What do they call them in England? Does it change throughout the United Kingdom?

Ahh. We call them zebra crossings.

Its actually pretty unique in Europe.

The continent doesn't care for road markings. They just drive through them.

Its only the UK that respect said markings

Zebra crossings? That sure is an odd name.

I haven't been to the U.K., but I've been in other parts of western Europe and no, no they definitley do not respect road markings. In the case of Italy scooters don't follow any rules whatsoever.

It depends on the city here but they are by and large respected. Failure to respect them usually results in heavy fines and/or an angry mob if you don't drive away fast enough.

But walkers often don't use/respect them because they frequently take longer than it does for traffic to clear and because you sometimes have to walk a little bit out of the way to use them.

Splinty @Splinty's mad dash was NOT at a crosswalk btw

Splinty @Splinty is it true you are being an integrity violator?

The only integrity violation is @conor mcgregor nut hugger implication that using a cross walk in South Beach 1> is a thing 2> would be safer than a mad dash from the myriad of asshole drivers trying to kill pedestrians in their rented sports cars
When you went to the bathroom your wife thanked me profusely for keeping her safe

Its because they are black and white.

Crossings that have lights are called pelican crossings.

Not making it up.

It’s the bravest thing @conor mcgregor nut hugger has ever done
There is no need to thank or praise me. It wasn't a conscious decision.

Chivalry aside, I would be least likely to suffer death or serious injury had a car hit one of the three of us, and that's simply due to the male-female differences in size and muscle mass.

The strong should always shield the less strong.

I'm proud of you for demonstrating bravery to a military officer. You set a great example for him.

Not true, and it's called Zebrastreifen here (Zebra stripes).
