Cerrone fighting Price was moving his level down. Price is a wild man but he's certainty not the top 5 kind of guy that Cerrone normally fights.I don’t understand Dana’s hard-on to have retirement talks with Woodley and Cowboy. I mean, they have been fighting the best of the best for a decade...how about show them the respect of not making these decisions public and simply move their level of competition down a few levels. Make them gate keepers to the next generation, don’t put them out to pasture.
Woodley just isn't fighting anymore. I don't think that would change much just because his competition drops. If you match him against someone that stays in his face he just doesn't engage anymore. Same for Robbie Lawler. Maybe they can still compete with top 20 guys but if you refuse to throw punches then even that will be hard.
I don't agree with Dana telling the media before he talks to the fighters but it's hard to expect him to not be a douche.
