Lombard vs. Magny added to Fight Night 84

UFC Fight Night 84 is beginning to come together with the announcement of four bouts for the event, which is already scheduled to be headlined by a heavyweight bout between Mark Hunt and Frank Mir.

A welterweight bout between Hector Lombard (34-4-1 MMA, 3-2 UFC) and Neil Magny (17-4 MMA, 10-3 UFC) will serve as the event’s co-main event, according to a UFC press release.

The current UFC Fight Night 84 lineup includes

• Mark Hunt vs. Frank Mir
• Hector Lombard vs. Neil Magny
• Steve Bosse vs. James Te Huna
• Alan Jouban vs. Brendan O’Reilly
• Antonio Carlos Junior vs. Daniel Kelly

No easy fights for Magny anymore but I like him in this fight. If he can land strikes at distance, use his footwork and avoid the clinch with Lombard, he can wear him out and win a decision. Lombard gasses and now he is off the sauce.

I read speculation that the reason Lombard isn't fighting Rory is because they want Rory to fight Matt Brown.
