Mackenzie Dern is scheduled to make her long-awaited Octagon debut against Ashley Yoder at UFC 222 on March 3 in Las Vegas, MMA Fighting has learned.

Dern (5-0) is considered one of the greatest female Brazilian jiu-jitsu practitioners of all time, as she’s won multiple gold medals in some of the most prestigious grappling tournaments around the world.

In 2016, Dern made her MMA debut to much fanfare. Since then, she’s won her first five fights, most recently submitting Kaline Medeiros at Invicta FC 26 last month.

Yoder's only 2 fights in the ufc have been losses. Shouldn't dern be given someone at least coming off of a win? She's 5-0 as a pro.

looks like they are building her record up for a big fight probably gets a title shot within three fights in the ufc.

You're probably right. If her ufc debut ends on the main card, they are certainly allowing her to jump the line.

Or low when it comes to mma chicks. I used to hear people say Bec was hot over there and I would be like tell me you didn't just say that lol. There really is no hot wmma fighter. Sure there are fuckable ones but that's about it

Marking only the 2nd time she made it. The other 3 fights, she weighed in at 118+ while looking kinda doughy. No question that she CAN make 115, but she's missed twice before.

In BJJ, she competes at <122lb. and <130lbs. Granted, the weigh-in rules are different.
