What is this Magic deal I keep hearing about? Apparently there are lots of different card decks? And like you collect them and then somehow play cards with other people?

Never heard of it before but now I've heard it mentioned several times randomly and I'm curious. Figured this crew would know :grin::relaxed:

It is getting more complicated.....I used to play magic back in the day( had a green/red trample leech deck).

I play a bit of hearthstone now and then....

I suggest you download hearthstone and give it a try

Simply put you and other players start off with an amount of health( 20,30,40 whatever), usually it is 1v1 or 2v2 and the first side to 0 health loses. Each colour and card have different effects(poison's, freezing, removal, crippled etc) and costs which are payed by health or resources which are also colour coded and mixed into your deck. Each faction(colour) has specialized abilities like my green deck had a lot of trample which improved my attacking ability, then the red side of my deck leeched life slowly and had good enemy removal cards.

The rabbit hole is deep.

After reading through a bit of that article @Alienator was kind enough to post, I don't think my ADD would get me far, pretty complex and I'm impatient ha

But interesting that it has over 20 million players, had zero idea this was such a huge thing nor that it had been around for so long.

I'm sure once you get into it and understand all of the terminology, everything he said will make sense but right now, sounded like he was speaking another language haha

Also, how epicly old school were those early UFC graphics?!? Makes me wish I would have known about it back when it started. Imagine how amazing something like Ultimate Fighting Championship would have sounded and then to see it for the first time? Beyond.

Years ago I was trying to pick up this girl and after I impressed her a little bit with my good looks and sense of humor she asked me if I played WOW or Magic the Gathering. I told her I had no clue wtf those were, I had sex later that night.

I played it some 20 years ago. Eventually I realized the cards were worth quite a bit of money and sold most of them off, lol. I actually might still have some kicking around.
