ALVA, OK (CNN) - A dissatisfied customer drove his truck through the lobby of a hotel after he became angry over a billing dispute.
John Edward Parsley, 62, slammed his vehicle through the front doors and into the reception desk last week, nearly hitting two women behind the counter.
A worker for the hotel said it centered around a $264 pre-authorization charge on his debit card.
The charge showed up after his card was declined, and he was forced to pay for his room in cash. The hotel reportedly removed the charge, but the patron was still angry.
After the customer and hotel both called the police, the man drove straight into the lobby.
Surveillance video outside the hotel appeared to show Parsley talking to an officer moments before he hit the gas.
The two workers behind the desk said it was a miracle they weren't hurt.
