I would imagine a hunting rifle of some sort. I buy my meat at the supermarket like everyone else so I have no idea the exact name. Maybe Ruger something or other?
Hunters will learn how to hunt with handguns or they won't hunt. It's that simple.

Also your second use of the word it's/its shouldn't have an apostrophe.
Hunting with a handgun isn't safe for the animals. Too inaccurate from a distance.
Besides, very few people hunt with an AR 15, so I'm not sure I follow the argument. When hunting, I think the max allowed for loaded rounds is 5. I don't hunt though - could be wrong there.
Edit: My buddy just told me it's 3 rounds when hunting deer in Ohio.
My point is nobody is going out in the woods and pulling a Jesse Ventura/Predator and emptying a magazine into a deer.

If you're that terrible of a shot there are these things called shooting ranges for you to practice
it is way easier to aim a rifle with the optics. I rather have an AR or a scar/bushmaster in that situation than a hand gun like a p226 which is harder to be on target with speaking with experience shooting those guns.
a hand gun will always be less accurate. the first time I went to a shooting range with someone who had never fired a gun we shot a scar L ,a g36 and p226 and they barely hit the target with the sig p226 but hit it with the rifles several times.
