After a crazy weekend where their fight fell through on the day of UFC 216, it appears that Mark Godbeer and Walt Harris will still get the opportunity to go toe-to-toe in the UFC Octagon this year.
This past Saturday, Derrick Lewis pulled out of his fight with Fabricio Werdum on the morning of the event and left the Brazilian without a dance partner.
The UFC then offered the fight to Harris, who was originally scheduled to face Godbeer in the headliner of the UFC Fight Pass preliminary bouts. The American accepted the offer and Godbeer was the unlucky man left with out an opponent.
Harris was defeated by Werdum via submission in the first round, but he appeared to exit the contest having not sustained any significant damage....
