He's basically a one-man show trying to do what all the big companies are already doing. It's a disgusting unholy matrimony between the FDA and lobbyists keeping an anticompetitive marketplace for drugs. In the end. It's a pain in the ass as a physician and it hurts patients.

But let me tell you that dude can use the shit out some Excel:

He could have just exported from his Bloomberg terminal and written and dragged down one basic vlookup formula

Dude is a whiz on Excel.
He used to hold these youtube videos and it would show him whipping through the data and making up graphs on the fly.

I was doubly enraged because I hated what he was saying and also because I was jealous of his Excel skills.

I hope he hated his time in "pound-me-in-the-ass" prison. And I hope he finds his way back there soon.

Exactly. I grew up in the 80d/90s thinking that the rest of the world was third world

Went to England in 94 and 96 and was like "whoa. They are civilized just like us amazing americans"

It took me until around 2015 to realize that American Exceptionlism is not only incorrect since america isn't better, its incorrect because America is actually worse by most metrics
Why do you hate Freedom

Graphs on the fly?? No wayyy. Thats so badass

I modeled private equity fund waterfalls for a few years and then worked 10 to 30 hour days, doing interest rate derivative compressions of something like 8 trillion notional over a couple years

Compressing relatively risk-neutral derivative portolios during live trading was a total shitshow when the technology would eff up, cause the portfilios were made up of around 5000 enormous trades.

a single trade could throw off our sellside IR desk's risk by hundreds of thousands of dollars

In order to figure out what trade(s) were causing the issue, I had to export all trades that day and use excel to find the problem trade(s) all while the IR desk traders were calling or yelling at me or my team to "i have no fucken clue where my 10 year risk is at. fucking fix this shit!!

So yeah, him doing excel charts live is humorous

Well. The speed in which he did it impressed the shit out of me. He had some macros set up in one of the videos so that was sort of cheating, but his transition speed from data to chart to pivot table was impressive. It wasn't so much what he was doing - I could do the same shit. It was the speed in which he put it all together.

I haven't watched what Splint posted but I assumed it was one of those vids.

He's still a cunt though.

Was wondering if anyone would comment on that

I'm basically saying show up at 7am and work through the night into the next afternoon

That's the downside to being a specialist when theres a major tech problem, and no one else knows how to use Excel*

* jk. An understand of several systems, processes, and financial products

If we all started running against Earth's rotation we could reverse time.

I used to be so fascinated by time. As you travel faster, time slows down for you relative to others

So if you travel close to the speed of light for a few minutes, years or even decades will have passed. You've traveled into the future in a sense

(which doesn't truly make sense to my limitted mind)

Unfortunately, humans are pansies. So we need to be mindful of acceleration

Moreover, who cares about the future?

Ah yes, the space-time continuum.
Man - did Al and I go round and round with that one.
