UFC welterweight veteran Matt Brown believes Demian Maia is one of the toughest challenges of his career and is confident it will bring out the best in him at UFC 198.

'The Immortal' is an apt nick name for Matt Brown. The Ohio native has battled and conquered drug addiction in his personal life and has fought tooth and nail to make a name for himself in the UFC.

Brown keeps this on the feet and finishes Maia in the 2nd.
Would be a massive achievement. Maia only ever stopped by Marquardt in over 20 UFC fights, and that was when he was a spaz on the feet and got caught mid-retard high kick in a situation that would have KOd anybody. Maia then went through his K1 phase and is no longer a sitting duck - he has won fights purely off his stand up. His ability to mix in some effective offense on the feet if Brown is careless enables him a greater chance of getting the TD.

I actually think Brown will win too, but my prediction is that it is basically a clone of Maia vs Rory. Maia comfortably wins round 1 on top, gasses in round 2, and then it is all Brown for the UD.

I was right about Maia winning round 1 at least.
