getting a bad vibe on this...tell me I'm wrong.
that does not sound right.
I wonder if those close to him can tell a difference between him now and him years ago
could he be on Meds? some meds fuck people up like that
can't pronounce an R very well
Sounds the same as always to me. Real story and thread title should be highlighting how Canadian fans are the best.
your probably right, I don't listen to many fighter interviews
he always talked like that though? there were some half formed words he just bailed on, that seemed odd
could just be nerves though and his accent
I went back and watched a bit from some older interviews to compare, and yeah he seems a bit off here. To be fair, he was always a slightly awkward-sounding dude in the first place, but here he sounds a bit worrisome and he didn't before. Could be meds, could be that it's an early morning interview and he's exhausted and forgot to drink coffeee, could be he recently cut his tongue, but he definitely seems off here.
I do hope he gets a CAT scan before his next fight.
At the end of the day, it is ...what it is....
i can hear it as well slight slurred speech, did he suffer a stroke?
max is on a huge run of 12 wins
he will fight
man, he sounds like a boxer in his 40s...
Sounds the same to me... all hawaiians sound a tad bit slurry.
He sounds ALL FUCKED up............
That's what the rumors where when he had the cutting problems...
Sounds like me after 11 pints
Sounds like he should get out of the fight game.
What is this shit? Anybody know if this is true or even seen this?
shit like this is simple gamesmanship. Makes me wonder if he's faking the slurred speech in the OP.
if that's the case, they're dramatically underestimating the mental toughness of Brian.
He sounds like being on anesthesia .
Definitely sounds punchier than before.
Sever dehydration can cause organs to shut down.
Maybe his body isn't able to weight cut anymore....
yeah, just like Chuck in those training videos
looks like the tweet was from Max was fake.
Hey Chuck....make some room on the couch, Max is coming over.
Max seemed ok at the press conference yesterday but something about him has always had that "punch drunk" feel that is now becoming more of a concern since his past few issues. Honestly, while I was really looking forward to this fight, it's a little too uncomfortable for me watching Max fight without knowing what really happened. Maybe too many wars in training or the the wars in the cage are starting to take their toll and becoming more obvious.
I'd hate even more for Max to be up against a volume puncher or GnP beast. At least with Brian, I think Max is going to eat a walk-off KO or a catch a nice sleepy-time
I'm sincerely hoping he get's subbed if he does lose.
He seems super sharp here:
