Keanu I just don't like, you're right, hes capable of ruining any film in my opinion.
Wick isn't going to be any less a comedy with a better actor in the lead and he at least has a few belts worth of skills to put on display in his fight scenes.

I’m a huge Canoe fan and agree with everything you said.
He’s wooden, overacts and is ridiculously bad in many of his movies (man of tai chi, I’m looking squarely at you).
But.
He owns a motorcycle company and speaks with incredible passion about riding, he gave up his salary from the matrix 2 and 3 to the special effects department so the movies could come out on time, by all accounts he’s amazing to all the fans he meets, he does projects for others for cost (always be my maybe) because he likes the script.
He will never be the actor deniro is (he will never need to wear 6” platforms either) but he is a straight up awesome motherfucker who I’d love to hang out with.
What I like about him and the majority of Statham's movies is sticking your brain on the mantelpiece for a couple of hours and just enjoy them for what they are; pure escapism entertainment.
They aren't really that ilk though the Wick films, the action is so well done and almost realistic, largely because they didn't have to hide the lead and had a serious stunt coordinator and weapons specialist, loads of good camera work as well, fuck all cgi, mostly practical FX.
I recently tried to watch Bill and Ted again, hadn't seen it since the theater, and had fond memories.
