Further news to complicate this story as the Iran stuff plays out:

A week or so ago the Times confirmed one of the most enduring conspiracies about US/Iran relations, namely that the Reagan campaign conspired with members of the Iranian regime to keep the American hostages from being released until after he was elected. It turns out that executives from JP Morgan Chase were the official go betweens that were responsible not only for bringing the Shah to the United States, but spreading propaganda about the Carter Administration attempting to do a deal and delaying the release of the hostages. The trade off for spiking the hostage release was the promise that the incoming Reagan administration would provide arms to the Iranian regime to aid in it's war with Iraq. This later became the Iran/Contra scandal. Iran and the US are in a hell of one other's own making that endures to this day.

I always thought it was much more the CIA than Reagan campaign (which are damn near one & the same with VP Bush).

you can make this conspiracy even greater when connecting the PROMIS theft, INSLAW affair, BCCI, Michael Riconosciuto & the death of Danny Casolaro.

my all-time favorite rabbit hole. never ends.

Thought about this again today in light of the drama between Barr and Congress. He's an old hand at this.
it's crazy how these guys are still around like nothing happened.

remember 2016 libertarian candidate Bill Weld?

Jack Blum's testimony before Congress
SEN. SPECTER: Now did those cases permit cocaine dealers to continue to operate?

MR. BLUM: One had the sense they did, but we could not get -- when we got into this area, we confronted an absolute stone wall. Bill Weld, who was then the head of the Criminal Division, put a very serious block on any effort we made to get information. There were stalls. There were refusals to talk to us, refusals to turn over data. An assistant U.S. attorney who gave us some information was reprimanded and disciplined, even though it had nothing to do with the case. In a confidential way --

Masato Toys @Masato Toys posts here.
I forgot about that, was thinking of the forum that isn't named here. love Masato's forum.

wasn't sure about linking any forum here.

it was a much bigger thread over there, didn't get much into the Reagan attempt & Iran-Contra on this one. but it's still a good look:

Kneeblock -

if you haven't read 'The Last Circle', it sounds like you would really enjoy it. It might be my favorite read of all time. hard to believe it's non-fiction.

Probing one of most organized and complex criminal enterprises in the United States, this report exposes the dynamics of the Octopus, a globe-trotting undercover intelligence operative. Based on 18 years of investigative research, this account reveals high-level, covert government operations and the elaborate corporate structures and the theft of high-tech software (PROMIS) used as smoke-and-mirror covers for narcotics trafficking, money laundering, arms sales, and espionage. The Octopus connections to a maze of politicians and officials in the National Security Council, the CIA, the FBI, and the U.S. Department of Justice are revealed. A detailed look into the recent high-profile arrest of Mafia hit-man Jimmy Hughes is also included in this intriguing analysis
It kicks off with a crash into the Queen's security detail during a visit to Yosemite, the death of a small-town cop & subsequent coverup. It eventually reaches the Reagan-Bush admin, CIA, Israel, Iran, Wackenhut, RBN, Alan Standorf, Steven Seagal, Danny Casolaro, etc (so much more I'm forgetting). questionable suicides, or flat out murder, around every corner. I'm not sure Cheri Seymour even wrote another book, just went quiet afterwards. I believe she started writing as something to pass along to Congress. the small town locals had been writing letters to DC about the corruption, all unanswered.

Nathan Bacca, local reporter, did an entire series on the reservation murders. It led him to an investigation of a detective investigating the case who (allegedly) killed himself & his family. spirals out of control from there. IIRC. I have the entire series (40 parts) if interested.

One of the Federal government's most secret computer programs is now connected to several local murders. The Riverside County Sheriff's Cold Case Squad is on the case -- and so is KESQ.

She finishes what Danny Casolaro started IMHO.

All bad things in the world lead back to Ronald Reagan. I think he might’ve invented aids.
In modern times I’d say all bad things started with the old Texas connection the Oil guys ...

Early 60’s they took out JFK....took over power ... then took out MLK Jr, then RFK ....entered the US into a War nobody wanted in Vietnam....got their guy on the Reagan Ticket as VP....then tried to assassinate Reagan so their guy could become PreZ.

Their guy eventually became Prez along with his son who just happened to be in office on 9/11 as well ....

interesting. is Craig Zirbel the main source for the Texas connection story?

I’ll have more questions later

I have always thought of Reagan as the figurehead, the real power being with his VP.

a reminder of that being sent on March 30, 1980.

I’ve been devouring this book since I saw your post but it seems like a beginner’s guide to the JFK conspiracy stories no? I never read much about it and it’s not a subject that’s engraved in popular culture here so it’s all news to me. I’d only knew about the mob theory from reading mafia books.

how did they grab Oswald in the first place? Did he deny doing anything altogether? Couldn’t they pull prints from that old rifle?

How decisive is the tree branches/impaired view evidence generally considered to be? Couldn’t the shooter have hesitated when the motorcade went up Houston St. then lucked out when he finally shot?

are you 100% convinced it was a conspiracy?

In short, how 9/11 fits into this? is the US government supposed to have planned it?

LoL lot of questions my friend - I’ll let you do your own research and try to figure it all out ...

But I’ll drop this little gem in regards to the JFK Assassination.

interesting note:

it is referenced in the above book - The Last Circle. Seymour believes it was being used a poison pill of sorts, something to discredit the rest of her work if/when she started pushing it.

When Cheri was at Robert Booth Nichols' place, she viewed a version of the Zapruder film which showed the driver shooting at Kennedy. he claimed it was the uncut version (pg 179)...Cheri's husband also viewed the video.

In later talking with Dick Russel (the Man who Knew to Much), it was believed she was shown this version as it provided Nichols with "deniability", having her see this version would of had the effect of invalidating her research of everything else...(Pg 192).
