Jason "Mayhem" Miller is coming out of retirement.

Miller has signed with Italian-based Venator FC and will face the promotion's middleweight champion Luke Barnatt for the belt on May 21, 2016 in Milan, Italy, MMAFighting.com has learned.

Miller (28-9. 1 NC) hasn't fought since his May 2012 loss to C.B. Dollaway at UFC 146. Since then, the 35-year-old has found himself in a slew of legal troubles.

Barnatt (9-3) won the Venator FC middleweight title in December when he submitted Mattia Schiavolin via fourth-round rear-naked choke submission.

I have mixed feelings about this. I hope he can stay out of trouble while he's over there.

Mayhem can easily win this fight if his mind is right. Lets hope he's in a good place.

The promotion should be ashamed of themselves for booking Mayhem to fight.

I hope he is fighting because he misses the competition and has the fire to train--- not because he needs the money. A truly motivated and mentally healthy Mayhem is a handful for anyone. I don't want to see a Mayhem only showing up for a check.

I hope he got the help he needs, he's been in some pretty bad spots mentally as of late. I was EXTREMELY disappointed in his behavior on the Real Sports episode about domestic violence in MMA, especially since he was the only fighter they really spent any time actually talking to.

But if he's got that under control, has a good camp and fights well, he's young enough to have another run or two in him.

And isn't Venator Latin for Hunter or something? I can't knock that without being a total hypocrite, haha.

Hope Mayhem is on the right track now days. Honestly couldn't tell if he was taking the piss with his antics, but I was wrong, he was loony bin material for sometime. If Mayhem is fully committed and fit, it's a competitive fight.

I will always find Mayhem entertaining. I just hope he is healthy.. both emotionally and physically.

Agreed. Hopefully getting back into competition will give him a reason to get focused and stay focused.
