Floyd Mayweather Jr. might have a reputation for being a points fighter, but ‘The Best Ever’ is looking to make a statement against Conor McGregor in two week’s time.
Mayweather’s last stoppage came in 2011 against Victor Ortiz, dropping the former WBC welterweight champion with a controversial pot shot in the 4th round. Before that, ‘Money’ knocked out British fan favorite Ricky Hatton in brutal fashion at the MGM Grand, finishing ‘Hitman’ in the 10th round.
Speaking to the press at a recent media scrum, Mayweather told reporters that he expects to finish ‘The Notorious’ inside 12 rounds. McGregor, he says, would treat it as a personal victory if he went the distance.
