I dont think they can. Not unless the are acting as a police officer. Or as a public citizen. But i dont think they can detain you as either while being paid by wally world.

Being that I have seen my share of Florida Walmarts this video is business as usual.
I did a stint working in Wally when I was in college. Loss Prevention workers are not off duty cops (at least in Indiana). They can defend themselves, but cannot be the aggressors. They sometimes call the cops in for assistance. That could be the case here. A guy that was LP where I worked was a former prison guard who wasn't technically the aggressor, but he was often able to get people to make a move on him so he could rough them up- at least he always claimed they started it.
