I bought my kids the game for Xbox360 and they love it but what's the point of it? What do you do? Is there any actual goals or objectives besides the achievement list?

In creative mode it's like building blocks. Your resources are endless.

In survival mode you have to obtain goods to build and survive the bad guys.

This. Minecraft is baby bear's JAM. He does all kinds of crazy ass stuff. He tells me but I do not understand.

I don't think there is an endpoint like we are used to, "to beat the game," but I like that it promotes logical and critical thinking.

That and Roblox. Idfk what Roblox is, though.

My kid loves it. Depending on the game mode, it's all about survive and thrive. He builds operational mechanical devices, traps, and explosives. It all depends on your imagination I guess. I found myself sneaking on there while my kid is away.

My 5 year old daughter loves Minecraft and Roblox too. She makes some really cool and intricate stuff. She is the most creative and artistic of my 3 kids.

It amazes me that at five, they're making these crazy ass things. Like, I was not into any of that stuff. He's got like houses, with stairs into the sky, and on that floor, there's a freaking hot tub

Lol, My daughter makes indoor glass swimming pools. She likes to blow shit up too and release lava.

Jumping down from top of arch to river below. This was on a death ban server, so if you died you were banned from the server until the 1st day of the following month. Made for some fun PvP battles too.

On pc with the right mods it can be beautiful.








But on the 360 you can make incredible things. You just need time (lots of it) and imagination.














I've spent well over 100 hours playing with my son over the years.

Forgot about this thread,some good info so thanks.

So are all the materials you need to build everything from machines to structures all readily available within the landscape somewhere and you just gotta find it, mine then decide what to create?

In Creative its all available from the start in survival you have to mine everything. Both modes can be lots of fun.
