After taking out Bigfoot Silva with strikes, Mir spoke to The Fight Corner and explained why he feels he would have an easy time with Lesnar if the two were to fight again.

“I think I would crush him standing up now,” Mir said. “I think that on the ground and stuff, I’ve worked with Ricky Lundell and stuff a lot and learned how to nullify the wrestling.”

Mir continued, “I wrestled three rounds with Daniel Cormier who’s an Olympic level wrestler and he had a difficult time taking me down. I think that Lesnar would really have to throw caution to the wind and really rush through and I don’t think that he’s gotten any better at wanting to take punches.”

Mir elaborated on that point, explaining that he’s heard for years now that Lesnar doesn’t like to get hit, and that fact is what he feels would be his key to victory.

“I’ve always heard those rumors from his camp that he doesn’t like to get hit and we’ve seen it in the fights,” Mir continued. “The jab-hook combination that I landed on Bigfoot would have floored him too. And the ground and pound I threw on him, to Bigfoot, I think that the same thing that happened with [Lesnar] and [Cain] Velasquez – when he finally hit his back, screaming for the fight to be stopped. I just don’t know that he’d have time to scream with me.”

Mir has been accused of being cocky, and for the most part I don't think he's arrogant just confident, however he comes off Cocky as shit in that interview.

Imo Mir was for sure winning the stand up in their last fight. Mir got taken down and couldn't do anything. His improved striking wouldn't be the difference maker, it'd be being able to keep Brock from taking you down. I like Mir, would want him to win, but he might have too many yes men around him to be this cocky.

While it is pretty lame that every heavyweight is calling out Lesnar, I think Mir would have a decent chance, as long as he doesn't try to do a jumping knee against the fence. Dumbest move ever.

Golden gloves Murr has a good chance if he keeps it on the feet.

Steve Mazagatti needs to be the surprise referee to officially piss Brock off even more!
