Mousasi vs Leites booked for UFC Fight Night 83

After losing his high-profile opponent for UFC Fight Night 83 in London, Gegard Mousasi has his new assignment for late February.

With Michael Bisping (27-7 MMA, 17-7 UFC) into the main-event slot against former longtime middleweight champion Anderson Silva (33-6 MMA, 16-2 UFC), Mousasi (37-6-2 MMA, 4-3 UFC) now will meet Thales Leites (25-5 MMA, 10-4 UFC) in the co-main event.

Mousasi announced the news on his Facebook page with an updated version of the event poster. UFC officials have yet to make a formal announcement of the new matchup.

UFC Fight Night 83 takes place Feb. 27 at The O2 in London. The entire event will stream on UFC Fight Pass.
